The month of February has been dedicated to raising awareness about heart health. There are many types of heart disease including heart attack, stroke and coronary
artery disease. According to the CDC, 1 out of every 5 deaths in the United States are due to heart disease. Individuals with preexisting health conditions of high blood pressure, diabetes and being overweight can be at higher risk for heart disease. Fortunately, there are steps you can take daily to prevent heart conditions. Here are a
few heart healthy tips to consider implementing for your own benefit. Before beginning any changes with your health, be sure to consult with your healthcare provider on what is best for your individual health.
