This time of year, the topic of burnout is popular among students and working professionals. The end of some school years is approaching, vacation is looming and the weather is warming up, which makes more people want to be spending time outdoors. Of course there are also additional actors that could be contributing to burnout such as an overload of work, not enough social support, poor self-care, lack of rewards and more. Whichever the case may be, recognizing that you are in a state of burnout is key to making changes and moving forward. Here are some common signs you could be feeling burnout:
- Feeling tired all the time
- Lack of motivation
- No longer feeling satisfaction from you work
- Difficulty concentrating on your work
- Feeling emotionally drained
If you can identify with any of those signs of burnout or perhaps some additional ones, there are steps you can take to reduce and eliminate your burnout. If you haven’t hit burnout, there are always ways that you can prevent it from creeping into your life.
